Come join us as we make beautiful Quilts of Valor to present to our local veterans who have served during wartime. There are many ways to participate in our Quilts of Valor efforts, cutting fabric, ironing, wash and dry fabrics and quilts, solicit donations, deliver quilts, event planning, work with social media, etc. Even if you do not know how to sew, you can join in the fun and learn new skills. We have a Quilting Coach in our group, Donna Bryant, she has been quilting and sewing for many years and enjoys teaching others to build or develop their own personal sewing skills. Please feel free to contact us for further information about our group, how you can help or if you would like to make a donation of fabric or cash. You may email us at A Second Tour.
Since 2003, The Quilts of Valor Foundation has been making and presenting quilts to wounded combat warriors and veterans who served during wartime. It is entirely run by volunteers and all participants volunteer their time and talents to provide a tangible reminder of American’s appreciation and gratitude in the form of a comforting, handmade quilt. For more information about the Quilts of Valor Foundation, free and easy quilting patterns and more. visit their website at Quilts of Valor Foundation.
