Since 2003, The Mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation has been to cover service members and veterans who have been touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Foundation, run entirely by volunteers and donations. All members and participants volunteer their time and talents to provide a tangible reminder of American’s appreciation and gratitude in the form of a Quilt of Valor. For more information about the Quilts of Valor Foundation, how to become a member or nominate a quilt for a veteran, please visit our website at Quilts of Valor Foundation.
Come join us as we make beautiful Quilts of Valor to present to our local Arkansas veterans who have been touched by war. There are many ways to participate in our Quilts of Valor efforts: cutting fabric, ironing, wash and dry fabrics and quilts, solicit donations, help to award quilts, event planning, work with social media, and of course we need people to sew, longarmers and help to bind. Even if you do not know how to sew, you can join in the fun and learn new skills. We have a Quilting Coach in our group, Donna Bryant, she has been quilting and sewing for many years and enjoys teaching others to build or develop their own personal sewing skills. Please feel free to contact us for further information about our group, how you can help or if you would like to make a donation of fabric or cash. You may email us at A Second Tour.
